AIG to give out $165 million in Executive Bonuses

After receiving more than $170 billion in a federal rescue, American International Group (AIG), the bailed-out insurance giant, is continuing with plans to pay $165 million dollars in bonuses to its executives. Is this a joke? Paying bonuses to executives that ran the company into the ground? AIG reported that it had lost $61.7 billion for the fourth quarter of last year, the largest corporate loss in history. In HISTORY! Come on people, giving out bonuses when these people should be bending over to keep their jobs. U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass Appeared on NBC's "Today" show. Frank noted that the federal government is 80 percent owner of the company and has some leverage. 80% is leverage? I would take my 80% and build a Death Star, orbiting the globe, casually displaying the power of my space station on companies that take advantage of our government.
